Peppermint Floral Water (Hydrolat) is a by-product from the steam distillation process of the production of chamomile essential oil.

Floral Water (also known as hydrolats or hydrosols) are the water that is collected when plants are steam distilled.
Floral waters have a delicate nature and a light aroma.  They are ideal for children, the elderly and the highly sensitive. They do not require dilution and can be applied directly to the skin.
They are ideal for gentle cleansing and toning and for blending with creams and lotions.
Use as a linen spray when ironing or to fragrance bed linen.

It has gentle, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties which can help to calm, soothe and heal itchy, dry and irritated skin conditions, skin allergies and eczema. It can be used to soothe tired, sore eyes by soaking cotton wool pads in hydrolat and placing them on the eyes for 10 minutes. It can also be used in a cool forehead compress to help ease headaches and migraines or in a room or pillow spray to aid a restful night’s sleep and calm overactive children.
It’s also known as a hydrolat or hydrosol.
